Since childhood I have been fascinated by other countries and people. This made me decide to push my boundaries and gain experience abroad (with companies) for several years after my studies. It’s great to discover new cultures, languages and people. As a child I was very active in ballet and dreamed of a career as a dancer. Although I had to let go of that dream, I learned a lot from it. The will to achieve and persevere still helps me today. Giving up is not an option, even if something is very complicated or complex. On the contrary, it makes it fun.
With a broad experience in communications, both on the client side and the agency side, I took the step into recruitment and selection in 2006. For the last few years I have been working in executive search. This is no coincidence. I get my energy from bringing people together. In my work, but also in my private life. There is nothing more fun than making a match.
Friends call me Sherlock Holmes: I like to analyse, unravel and ultimately bring out the best in people and assignments. This comes in handy in my work as a researcher and consultant. My inquisitive nature and problem-solving skills help to bring each assignment to a successful conclusion.
I thrive in a professional environment where colleagues share my interest in people’s drives and passions. This is why Herman Rutgers is such a good fit for me. My colleagues encourage me to be the best I can be, to be who I am and to grow where necessary. I am proud to be part of this nice team of professionals where we have an eye for the big picture as well as the details.
